The Girls and I

The path less traveled.

The girls and I started down a path, not knowing where it would lead. I’ve been down similar paths before, so the feeling of uncertainty, the anxiousness, and the constant flow of ideas and doubts is all too familiar. I’ve learned that these feelings are the driving force behind all ideas–good or bad.

This idea, the Hoof It-goat trek idea, turns out to be a good one! Our first season of goat trekking – I still chuckle when I say “goat trekking”– was AMAZING! The people we met, the laughter and smiles we shared will stay with us forever. We are very excited about next season!

I believe most people want to have an impact on their world, make a difference in some way–some small way. The impact we have need not be monumental, earth-shattering, media-grabbing, or fame-inducing. It simply needs to bring change.  

We brought change.
We gave peace and calm and we found peace and calm.
We induced laughter and smiles and laughed and smiled.
We answered questions and gave knowledge.
We offered insight and became insightful.
We inspired a way of life and live that life.
We brought change, and we changed.

The girls and I found a place, right under our noses, that is inspiring, healthy, change-inducing. Who knew our corner of the world could be all of this? The girls and I are THANKFUL.
